On behalf of our entire committee, we would like to thank you for joining us as we commemorate “55 Years” of the American Cancer Society Gala that started in Barry Goldwater’s backyard. Our Route 66 themed gala is a celebration of our past fundraising efforts, a mile-marker of how far we have come in the fight against cancer and a realization that we have a long road ahead. We take this opportunity to honor those who helped establish this event. Thousands of volunteers, honorees, gala chairs, donors and sponsors have made a difference in the lives of cancer patients and families in Arizona and across the country. We are proud of the accomplishments of the organization over the past 55 years.
The funds raised by the American Cancer Society’s 2016 “Picnic Under the Stars” gala will go to help cancer patients:
We honor and dearly miss the loved ones we have lost to this devastating disease. We celebrate and cherish our loved ones who have battled cancer and survived. And to the brave ones who are currently in their fight, you are not alone. We acknowledge that you have made the fight against cancer a priority in your life and we thank you for your invaluable contributions.

For more than a 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s. Join us to help finish the fight.
