Please help the American Cancer Society finish the fight against cancer.
Join us at the American Cancer Society's The Big Dig in the Desert on Saturday, November 3, 2018 and see the looks on kids’ faces as they operate an excavator! Attendees will get to experience the look and feel of a real construction site! With safety checks and equipment operation, young cancer patients and their families will put on their hard hats and experience a day in the life of a construction worker developing our beautiful city. This year, more than 1500 participants, including over 200 pediatric cancer patients and their families, are expected to attend this unique fundraiser for The American Cancer Society.
year, the Big Dig in the Desert raised over $175,000 for the American Cancer Society.
We hosted more than 1,200 participants, 300 volunteers, and almost 150
survivors and their family members. We had 18 moving excavators for the kids to
operate, 10 scissor lifts for everyone’s enjoyment and over 20 stationary
pieces of equipment for photo-ops. Mayor Giles of Mesa welcomed the families
and the event was covered by the media.
We hope to see you there!

For more than a 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s.
