Over $255,000 RAISED!!!!!
THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS!!!!
Please help the American Cancer Society finish the fight against cancer.
This year, over 1400 participants joined us for the American Cancer Society's The Big Dig in the Desert on Saturday, November 3, 2018. You should have seen the looks on kids’ faces as they operate an excavator! Attendees got to experience the look and feel of a real construction site! With safety checks and equipment operation, young cancer patients and their families put on their hard hats and experienced a day in the life of a construction worker developing our beautiful city.
Last year, the Big Dig in the Desert raised over $175,000 for the American Cancer Society. We hosted more than 1,200 participants, 300 volunteers, and almost 150 survivors and their family members. We had 18 moving excavators for the kids to operate, 10 scissor lifts for everyone’s enjoyment and over 20 stationary pieces of equipment for photo-ops. Mayor Giles of Mesa welcomed the families and the event was covered by the media.
We hope to see you next year!
